Love 'n Fresh Flowers206

If you don’t have any particular plans and are in the mid-Atlantic region, you should definitely consider heading to Wilmington, Delaware! On this particular day, as part of their national conference, the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers (ASCFG) is putting on an amazing program for designers interested in using locally grown materials to elevate their creations.

Heavy hitters like Sarah Ryhanen from Saipua, Jennie Love from Love ‘n Fresh Flowers, and Sullivan Owen from Sullivan Owen Floral & Event Design will be joined by dozens of other talented designers and farmer florists from around the country for an intensive afternoon of design demonstrations and frank round-table discussions on the art and science of working in the floral and wedding worlds with a focus on seasonal, local flowers.

After five hours of rapid-fire Q&A and some really beautiful flowers, unwind at the complimentary evening farmer-florist cocktail mixer where you can meet farmers who are eager to connect with forward-thinking florists and brainstorm about better ways to get the crops from their fields into your designs. Bring your business cards and flower wish-list!

If you are also interested in learning about growing flowers yourself, consider signing up for both Monday and Tuesday.
