As we kick off a brand new year, I want to take the opportunity to thank each of you  for your support and encouragement over the last 5 years. I can’t tell you what a pleasure it is to feature your work and hear from you throughout the year. I have a few changes planned for this year, but would also like to hear what you want to see on Botanical Brouhaha in 2015. After all, BB is a labor of love created for YOU, the hard working designers and farmers that fuel the beauty behind the blog. You can leave your thoughts in a comment below or email me (

Above all, I want this to be a place of inspiration and encouragement to you. The last couple of years brought plenty of struggles and personal growth for me. You may have noticed there were very few “wordy” posts on BB last year. Most of my words ended up on my other blog as I tried to navigate the heartbreak that consumed my thoughts. This blog post explains the source of my angst in a nutshell, if you’re interested. Much of my personal journey through depression as a result of the spiritual abuse I witnessed is chronicled there. I may or may not share a little more about that over the next year, but for now I just want you to know that I’m ready to write again…about flowers and all of the pleasures, struggles and stress that go along with the business of flowers. And I appreciate you so much!

Welcome 2015…We’re ready to bloom!

  1. Dominique says:

    Hi Amy,
Sorry to hear you have endured this heartbreak over the past year. I hope your beautiful blog has helped you with the healing process as what you have created online is so positive & very inspiring. Personally, I think your voice is loud enough that your posts have not needed lots of words but I do look forward to hearing more from ‘you’ this year. Wishing you the best for 2015.
