Carnation Chic

Oct 24, 2013

Kudos to the designers featured below for giving me a reason (other than the great scent) to like carnations again…

Happy Thursday!

  1. Janice Bear says:

Oh wow; I love so many of these! A ton of great color-blocking.

  2. Mimi says:

Carnations are wonderful and there are so many varieties. Using the right variety with the right mix of flowers makes a big difference. I often group them in threes in my floral design. It gives them more presence and sometimes makes people who claim to hate carnations not even notice them.

  3. Paula says:

I’ve been on a mission to bring them back! When they are done right, they are just lovely, ruffle-y and beautiful! Whenever I suggest them to a bride, I have to have photos ready to show them how they can be used well, because they all seem to have been trained to hate carnations.
